Wildlife observing in their original habitat is special experience
and challenging, you have to be patient waiting and peeping without
be recognized by those wildlife. Teluk Aur and Empangau is best
places to watch various of birds (Egrets (Egretta garzetta), Eagles,
swallows, King Fishers (Pelargopsis capensis), Hornbill and others,
long tailed maccac, Proboscis monkey, Orangutan and even Borneo
Arowana/Dragon fish (Scleropages Formosus).

One hour air access by planes of 42 passengers from Pontianak to
Putussibau. Tropical rain forest, Kapuas river, and some shifting
cultivation point can be shown from the plane. |

Our guide will pick up you at the hotel, and bring to boat station
after breakfast. At the boat station you can explore the riverbank
of the Kapuas River, see several floating houses and watch local people
paddling in their small wooden boats. |

The tour will start from the boat station of the small town of Putussibau
in a speedboat in about 2,5 hours heading down Kapuas River to reach
Empangau Village |

After arriving, meet local leader and Explore the village and Malay
(fisherman) livelihood and get in contact with the locals. you alsa
have an opportunity to see Borneo Arowana (Scleropages Formosus) in
fish tank. In Afternoon by local wooden boat, the local people will
show the site of wildlife, if lucky you will point proboscis mongky,
eagles, egrets, etc. You also have a chance to catch fishes in local
way then taste the fress toaste fish. |

In the night, you can do Wild Arowana (Scleropages Formosus)watching
with the local guide or just spend your night and enjoy the beauty,
and peaceful of the lake in the Heart of Borneo. |
